The HeartLand Tour comes to Truro on July 12th!

Come join us at Victoria Park! 

There will three options this year, a 15km trail ride, a 19km beginner road ride, and a 48km advanced ride.

The beginner rides should take 60 to 90 minutes, the Intermediate/advanced ride will be about 2 1/2 hours and involve a few more hills. Start times are staggered, check ‘ride details’ for the info! 

You can also join us for a walk through the beautiful Victoria park! 

Join us at 11:30 am at Victoria Park for lots of other activities!

Other Activities Include: – Face painting – Clowns – Live Entertainment – Health Information Booths – Talks on stroke prevention

There will be a bike ride for the kids with the HeartLand tour members around the park at 1:00 pm

Draws and Giveways!
We will be drawing for bikes and helmets at the park after lunch.

A 45 minute walk through beautiful Victoria Park will be led by Heart and Stroke Nova Scotia.

The walk will leave the Victoria Park band shell at 9:00 AM and return to the band shell.

Hope to see all walkers of all ages out in full force to join us on the walk!

All rides will start and end at Victoria Park!

We are also staggering the start times – 9:30 for the long ride, 10:30 for the short rides!

The beginner ride should take 60 to 90 minutes, the Intermediate/advanced ride will be about 2 1/2 hours and involve a few more hills.

The trail ride will be along the cobequid trail, from the park along Lower Truro to the Old Barns lookoff, approx. 15km.

Check out the route map for details, but the route for the beginner road ride will take us through Bible Hill, Valley, Brookside, and back to Victoria Park. It should be a fun 19km ride!

For the more adventurous riders, we will be doing a 48km loop through the beautiful farmland of North River, Onslow Mountain, and back through Onslow, Bible Hill and returning to the park at about noon.
